Success Story

I am a former student from Park Ridge High School in Queensland and I was having a lot of problems reading, spelling and understanding what I was reading.

The family moved to Port Macquarie and my Grandmother wanted me to try the Need4Reading program.

At the beginning of the year before the need4reading program, the class was given a book (Into the West) to read and I couldn't. I just struggled and didn't understand it. I felt terrible. Then I decided to do the Need4reading program.

When I started Need4reading it was so easy and I thought there wasn't much point in doing it. As I started getting into it, it became a bit more difficult but I kept moving through it.

When I first started the comprehension section I became really frustrated because it was the first time that I had to understand what I was reading. But I kept going back and doing it step by step and gradually it got easier.

Then the sentences made sense to me and I started progressing rapidly through the levels and completed the last 10 levels of the comprehension section in 31 minutes without a break in my attention!

Now I'm progressing really well at school and keeping up with the work. Now we are starting a new book (The Boy) and I have progressed through 31 pages. It's now making sense to me and I am confident I will finish it.

I'm also now reading motor bike books and the newspapers.

I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to go to Technical College and do a course as a Diesel Mechanic.

Now I know I can and will succeed.
